A Muscle Oxygen Monitor works using light and sensors. The technology behind it is called Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS). The device sends harmless light through your skin and into your muscle. Then, it measures how much light is absorbed or reflected back. This tells you how much oxygen is in your muscle tissue.
